Tidbits of my massage career

Out of curiosity, I looked on Agoda to locate all the four and five star hotels that I have been to for the past 3 years. Here comes the list of them: Sheraton, Caravelle, Le Méridien, M Gallery, The Myst, Intercontinental (Hotel& Residences) Sherwood ( Hotels and Suites), Rex Hotel, Nikko, Majestic, The Reverie, Tan Son Nhat SG Hotel, Somerset Serviced Residences ( HN & Saigon), Hotel de l’Opéra Hanoï, Estin Grand Hotel SG, New World SG, Pullman, Park Hyatt, Silverland Sakyo, Liberty Central (Riverside & Centre), Novotel, Vissai, Silverland Jolie, Park Royal, Anh&Em Corner, Charm Suite Residences, Intercontinental Saigon Residences, Sunland, Royal, Sila Urban Living, Fusion Suites.

Of course there are other numerous hotels that it would take too long to mention them here. They are three star ones and below and guest houses, too many to list and too trivial to remember. There are lots of private houses, villas and apartments that I have visited. The following ones are probably popular and recognized among Saigonese: Icon 56, City Garden, Tropic Garden, Vinhome, Estella, My Phuoc, HAGL3, Phu Hoang Anh, Hung Vuong 1 &2, Satra Eximland, Diamond Island, Saigon Pearl, The Prince Residence, Airport Plaza, Sunrise, Masteri, The Ascent, Ben Thanh Tower, La Fayette De Saïgon, Glenwood Inn, Le Blanc Saigon, La Casa, Dragon Hill, Royal Huy, River Gate, Saigon City Residence, Saigon Mansion Apartment, Chung Cu Bo Cong An, Sky Garden, Imperial, Sala, Sailing Tower, M One, Thao Dien Apt, CC Lakai, Riva Park, River Gate, Glenwood Apartment, 4S Riverside, Oakwood, Millennium, Min etc.

(The above lists  will be updated every time I visit a new hotel from now on)

My clients’ ages range from 29 to 70 although I don’t expect young people of under 30 years of age to really understand the art I am practicing. The youngest aged 26 was an industrial psychologist, from The US, and he actively sought me out. He had had a few tantric massages in the US but none had any mind blowing effect on him but mine worked like a charm, which really made my day.

I don’t remember all clients’ jobs but there are some that I always think fondly of. I have had 8  pilots from different airlines including Vietnam Airlines, Jet Star Pacific, Vietjet, China Airlines, Turkish airlines and Vueling. They were 7 captains and one first officer. One of them was even a flying instructor They are ones of my favorite students since they are quite good at multitasking.

I have given training to 4 millionaires coming from Australia, Canada and the US. Most of them are property developers and one is a restaurant, jewelry store and pharmaceutical company owner. The Canadian one was so busy that he wanted to take two Sheila’s Approach massage training sessions on the same day. The Russian American one set a record of 2 nuru with only 7 hours apart, which was and will ever be my only case. The two Australians happened to be business partners since I saw a picture of them together when I gave a package to one of them.

I had been warned many times about Indians. They were notorious for being difficult. They always tried to bargain or add more services or more hours or more people. I even went to India in 2013 so I was well-prepared. Once I had had experience working with Indian clients under my belt, everything became a lot simpler. In fact, I found them quite hilarious, charming and ones of the most sensual people I have ever taught. Their hands are rough but they tell lots of stories. In total I have had 14 Indians clients that still hold Indian passports and three others that are originally from India.

I have exchanged a Sheila’s Approach massage training session for a deep or Thai or sports massage by professionals from England, Italy, France, The USA and Australia. One even has a Thai massage school in Chicago, another works in a sports clinic for celebrities in Italy.

As of February, 2018 I have had 44 nationalities on my client/ student list. For some nationalities such as Lebanese, Hong Kong Chinese, Ukrainian, Serbian, Croatian, Sri-Lankan, Colombian, Indonesian, Syrian, Brazilian, etc., Í met only one representative of each country. For other nationalities, as many as 40 have been my clients. At the beginning of my massage career, the French people were my number one clients. Then Germans overtook them and more recently native English speakers have.

In Southeast Asia, Singapore probably holds the record of most nuru clients, which were close to 20. Not all of them are Singaporeans but definitely Singapore attracts a large crowd of open-minded professionals. They are very liberal and decisive. Once they have decided on a package, they will go through with it.

It takes some people a year or longer to finish their package although the smallest package only takes approximtely 2.5 hours and the biggest package takes roughly 7.5 hours of 3 meetings. I thought they forgot me and our final sessions (usually nuru)) then on a fine day, the messaged me and wished to complete the package they set out to buy a long time ago.

The earliest package I gave was to a client staying in Pullman hotel at 6:30 am because he had to check out at 9:30 to go to the airport. The latest session I gave was to a client working on a 5 star cruise ship. He finished work at 11 and by the time he got to a love bird hotel (approved by him), it was almost 2 am.
